Mass. to Move to Phase 3, Step 2 of Reopening Plan Monday; Phase 4 on March 22
Gov. Charlie Baker announced on Thursday that Massachusetts will move to Phase 3, Step 2 of the state’s COVID-19 reopening plan on March 1 and Phase 4, Step 1 on March 22.
For Phase 3, Step 2, indoor performance venues, such as concert halls and theaters, will be able to open at 50% capacity or a 500 person max capacity, according to 7 News Boston. Indoor recreational activities that have a greater potential for contact will be allowed a 50% capacity limit as well. Restaurants will no longer have a capacity limit, but still must have six feet between tables.
If the public health data continues to trend positive, then the state will move into Phase 4, Step 1 on March 22. This phase will allow indoor and outdoor stadiums, arenas, and ballparks to reopen with a 12% capacity.
