According to Food & Wine, "Whether you like or loathe it, TikTok has become a significant driver of food and restaurant trends. According to a 2021 survey by the marketing agency MGH, 35% of TikTok users have either gone to a restaurant or ordered takeaway food after seeing it referenced in a TikTok video. The survey also found that a whopping 45% of users surveyed said they’d travel out of state to visit a restaurant mentioned on the platform. Now, all that’s left to do is wonder what will trend in 2023

The top TikTok food trend this year was "cloud bread". The simple version is just three ingredients: eggs, cream cheese, and cream of tartar. A new report found that videos about it racked up a collective 3.4 BILLION views in 2022.

Food & Wine did take exception to one entry: the charcuterie board.

"(They)are a forever trend. That includes its alternate versions, namely the butter board, a variation that we here at Food & Wine previously explained.
