Sorry Guns N Roses fans. Iconic guitarist Slash says no biopic movie is comin anytime soon.

Queen/Elton/MJ

But what about Queen, Elton and MJ? Bohemian Rhapsody, and Rocketman were WILDLY successful and received well. Brian May from Queen said their movie made so much money they want to do another! The highly anticipated Michael Jackson biopic has already cast their Michael.

No Biopic Is Comin

This week, Slash came clean and share why we will NEVER see a Guns N Roses movie. According to the Movie Maker website Slash shares:

“Yeah. That’s, that’s a that’s a funny one. People come to make the Guns N Roses movie. And then I have people coming to me about doing a movie — I think it was after I wrote my book. It’s just not something that — collectively we’re sort of just not interested. And I can’t imagine trying to find some actors that can portray the band properly. I mean, rock’n’roll movies suffer from being just super, super corny and unrealistic anyway, as a whole. There’s very few really good rock ‘n’ roll movies. So I would hate to sell us out ourselves out with some sort of script that’s supposed to depict our history. I don’t see it happening.” Same goes for a solo Slash movie? “No, I definitely don’t want to do that,” he says.

There we have it. Slash says no biopic is comin. As Slash says: So I would hate to sell us out ourselves out. But. you CAN buy a Guns N Roses hoodie on their website!

Speaking of movies, here’s a list of biopic movies that we found.  How many have you seen? (From Rotten Tomatoes.)

I never saw this story about the iconic genius, Brian Wilson, of the Beach Boys.

Critics Consensus: As unconventional and unwieldy as the life and legacy it honors, Love & Mercy should prove moving for Brian Wilson fans while still satisfying neophytes.

Watching this, I forgot that Lou Diamond Phillips was not Ritchie Valens.

Critics Consensus: Elevated by a perceptive performance by a perfectly cast Lou Diamond Phillips, La Bamba distills its subject’s creative energy — and reflects his music’s enduring appeal.

Critics Consensus: Bohemian Rhapsody hits a handful of high notes, but as an in-depth look at a beloved band, it offers more of a medley than a true greatest hits collection.
