Never Have I Ever? Nine Everyday Things People Don’t Do Anymore
OK, so there are a couple of things I’ve never done.
Jumped out of airplane.
Eaten at an Olive Garden.
Mowed a lawn.
But I have listened to a cassette tape. (Cassingles were the BEST).
Printed something at home.
Used a typewriter.
Wound up lost and had to – OMG – USE A MAP! (It’s very Dora the Explorer. I suggest people do it for fun and to get a vague idea where they are in the world. Christopher Columbus would BE SHOCKED AT OUR LACK OF AWARENESS!)
Yet, there’s a GROWING number of people who have NEVER done these things.
What sort of generation are we raising if they’ve never experienced the agony of dialing a number with a lot of zeros on a ROTATY PHONE?
I’ll tell you what kind of a generation. ONE THAT HAS NEVER SUFFERED.
Listen, I get it. Progress is progress.
Here Are Nine Everyday Things People Don’t Do Anymore.
(Which makes me sad for them and also sad for me, because this means I am ancient.)
