We’ve got questions!

People were asked  how truthful they are when asked certain questions they really don’t want to answer. Let’s face it, some questions should remain unanswered or even un asked, but their are folks who “just need to know”.

The questions are kinda personal

So, here’s the list of some of those questions that we don’t answer with complete honesty.

10 Questions you shouldn’t ask because the answers are probably lies

  • Did you get my message?

    cellphone

This is a question that didn’t exist before cell phones and answering machines because back in the day we had a house phone and that was it, if we you missed the call, you couldn’t leave a message. Not anymore! Now we are supposed to be available 24/7 and you can’t say, “oh, sorry, I didn’t get the message”, because with voicemail and texting or even the missed call feature on our phones, there’s no escape!

  • Job interview awkward questions

    job

A standard question on a job interview might be something like ” Tell us about a time you had conflict in the workplace?” Uh, oh, this question is designed to hear about a time at a previous job that you had a conflict with your boss or your co-worker and it’s hard to come out looking great on this one, so people lie and say something about how they get along with everyone at work and can’t think of a conflict, eh sure.

  • Are you mad at me?

    couple fights

Stressed emotional couple arguing fighting when checking financial papers together finding unexpected debt lack of money on bank account. Mad angry husband scolding wife for overspending family budget

This comes from friends and family members but mostly from spouses, so we can easily avoid that question by saying a simple, “no’. but your actions speak louder than words and most of us know if your mad at someone. Hard to hide, so I say, “well yeah and here’s why”. Than hopefully you can talk it out, if not, go ahead and pout a while.

  • How was school?

    Teachers

I recall asking my girls this one often, you see I was home when they got home because I did a morning show and was always there in the afternoon. I could always tell when they didn’t have a great day at school if they said it was fine. That meant it wasn’t. It could have been a friend did something or a tough day in class. Any parent knows the real truth.

  • How many people have you slept with?

    date

The answer to this is usually less than the truth and for good reasons, unless you are very proud of your history. Most people want to keep this number small. If your answering “none”, God Bless you!

  • What are you sexual fantasies?

    disgusted

Is there a good answer for this question? Is it better to say less than more? Maybe some people prefer smaller numbers and there are some that I think bigger is better. Good luck with that!

  • How much alcohol do you drink each week?

    bartender

This is a question that if asked from your doctor you are probably saying less than the truth. And that’s probably a good idea unless you have a problem of course. Nobody wants to be judged!

  • Did someone pass gas?

    stinky

This is an age old question that we would all want to avoid answering. But it does beg the question, does it still ring true to say he who smelt it dealt it?

  • How are you? Also, fine...how about you?

    grumpy

Most people answer with a quick fine how about you because we really don’t want to get into it, do we? When people ask you how are you doing not a 10 times we tell them we’re doing fine. Because if we’re not then there will be a lot more questions coming your way.

  • How much do you weigh?

    scale
Most of us agree that is a question that we should not be asking anyone, because you will probably not get the truth and you can pretty much tell by looking at someone, so why ask? Unless you’re a doctor or a helicopter pilot, don’t ask!
