Did you know the share of people working remotely tripled during the Covid-19 pandemic?
In 2021, 17.9% of U.S. employees primarily worked remotely, up from 5.7% in 2019, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
But that number is changing, thanks (or no thanks) to companies such as Disney, Amazon and JPMorgan Chase & Co. requiring employees to return to the office.
Some places, however, are mmore open to remote work than others according to a new report from WalletHub
So what states are the best and worst for working from home?
You want to know, because working from home is the BEST.
First of all, no more commute!
Instead of spending hours in traffic or crammed into a crowded subway, you can roll out of bed and be at your desk in minutes. Plus, you get to skip the stress of rushing to get ready in the morning and can work in your pajamas if you want (just be sure to change before any video calls).
Speaking of video calls, you no longer have to worry about running into coworkers in the break room when you’re having a bad hair day.
Instead, you can turn off your camera and enjoy a cup of coffee in peace.
Plus, you can avoid those awkward elevator conversations where you’re forced to make small talk with someone you don’t know very well.

Let’s talk about the flexibility. Need to take your dog for a walk? No problem! Want to go to a mid-day yoga class? Go for it! You can structure your day in a way that works best for you, and as long as you get your work done, your boss probably won’t mind.
