It’s National Dessert Day! If you’re like me, you TRY to eat right during the week, and then CHEAT on the weekends? Which means each weekend is like a countdown to HEAVEN. Where IS the best dessert in Massachusetts? Why do we love desserts SO much? We’ve been known to drive an hour to get our favorite. It doesn’t help that I live FIVE minutes from an amazing bakery and donut shop.

One morning in the drive-through at Dippin Donuts in Western Massachusetts, we got the surprise of our life. The young employee told us they were OUT of our favorite donut, VANILLA CREAM. Our disappointment didn’t last long. Because we are regular customers, the OWNER, listening on the drive-through headset, popped out the back door to say: “I’m going to MAKE you two new fresh vanilla cream donuts right now!” It made our day! You don’t experience that kind of service, and KINDNESS these days!

How about we take a deep dive into ice cream! According to a survey from Shane Co:
- All 50 states agree – vanilla ice cream is the best base for a sundae and no sundae is complete without whipped cream and a cherry on top!
