McDonald’s is making some major changes to its burgers. If you’re a fan of the McDonald’s burger, you’ll either LOVE the upgrades or you’ll hate them. There’s no in between. Before we talk about the changes, let’s talk about what we love about the current burgers at McDonald’s. First, that soft bun is just mouth watering. There’s something about those sesame seeds that is a perfect pairing to the all beef patty in between. Unless you’re eating a hamburger, cheeseburger or quarter pounder when you’re eating just the plain bun. Other ingredients in the burgers like the fabulous pickles, the chopped up onions and the melted cheese add the perfect amount of flavor to these legendary meals. Then of course there is the beef. The all beef patties are of course cooked on a flat top grill, not a grill in the traditional sense. They also brag that they are committed to quality and a more sustainable beef production. Their patties are 100% real beef and seasoned with just a pinch of salt and pepper.
But all of that is about to change. The changes come in the wake of company-wide restructuring amid layoffs and pay reduction for some of its employees. As of right now, the new burger changes have already been put in place in Australia, Canada and Belgium. They will be introduced in U.S. cities Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Sacramento, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Denver, Boise, Tucson THIS week. The rest of the cities in the U.S. will see the burger changes in early 2024. Chef Chad Schafer says all of the changes are to improve the taste of the burgers to where they will be more flavorful than ever. We’ll be the judge of that. Here are the changes coming to the McDonald’s burgers. But first, a fan favorite is coming back!
