The folks at Entertainment Weekly have come out with their Top 10 movie sequels that are better than their original.

Let's be honest here, most sequels are not that great, and there are dozens of examples of sequels that were not worth your hard earned money. Here's a list of sequels that did not add up.

Caddyshack 2 1988, Sorry Jacky Mason fans but this doesn't even come close to the original, no Bill Murray, Ted Knight or Rodney Dangerfield. This movie gets no respect.

Anchorman 2 2013, Here's a case of having the same great cast (mostly) but having a terrible script, maybe Ron Burgundy should have retired to San Diego

Zoolander 2 2016, No charm and to be honest, I never got passed the halfway mark on this one. Same cast but way too zany and stupid. Not a model sequel

Staying Alive 1983, Of course the sequel to Saturday Night Fever, this also starred  John Travolta but lacked the charm of the original, disco was dead and so was the life in this sequel

Ghostbuster 2 1989, This movie was a straight up cash grab and a ghost of the original, it's clear that the movie was not thought out and relied on better special effects way too much.

Hollywood loves a sequel!

The execs and producers in Hollywood love a good sequel because when they hit, they can hit it big. Think about the Star Wars movies, seriously, how many have been made over the years? Also, James Bond is on it's umteenth Bond actor and at least 20 movies since the original Dr No came out 60 years ago. Those are the success stories, and they're a few more that worked like the Halloween and Friday the 13th. When they hit it big, their called Franchise  Movies, and that is what the suits in Hollywood want, guaranteed Box Office. But that doesn't always work out, so here's the sequels that were better than the original.

We present the Top 11  Best Movie Sequels!

9. Superman 2, 1980

I don't care what anyone says, Christopher Reeve (RIP) was the best Superman ever!

Toby Maguire is still considered the best Spider Man and this one proves it.

As great as the original and the first sequel was, most people agree that this is a classic Toy Story

4. Terminator 2, Judgement Day, 1991

They went nuclear on this one, plus lot's Guns and Roses music for the soundtrack made it even better.

3. Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted, 2012

How can you go wrong with this cast, Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer and so many more that it had to be good!

2. The Dark Knight, 2008
