This is what happens when I don’t get what I want. I’m not proud of this behavior.
Sometime after the holidays I was in the Christmas Tree Shop looking for bargains and I walked past a display of Herrs Hot Cocoa and Marshmallow Snack Balls. My interest was piqued.
Now, I walked passed them several times before giving in and buying a bag (you should know I love to sample things I’ve never had). I brought ’em home and threw ’em in the pantry. Eventually I gave ’em a whirl. Half a bag later, I decided I might like to pick up another bag next time I see ’em.
I didn’t go out of my way but at some point I found myself in the Christmas Tree Shop again and remembered those little chocolate balls.
They were nowhere to be found.
Slightly annoyed, within a few weeks I was seeking them out. I went to three different Christmas Tree Shops. Nuthin’. So now I’m on a chocolate ball quest.
I knew what I had to do. The internet. It has everything.
I found them! But I couldn’t find one local store that stocked them.
The quest, intensified, I did what I had to do. I ordered….a case. (in my best Elaine Benes voice:) “It was the only way I could have them again.”
What. In. The. Hell. was I thinking? First of all, I spent a stupid amount of money on a case of ‘chocolate snack balls‘. Second, I HAVE A WHOLE CASE OF THESE FREAKIN’ THINGS!
What if they’re not as good as I remember them?
