I took this shot on my way back to the jeep. The orange reflection looked so pretty on the water. Of course, you don't really get the full "super moon" effect looking at these grainy pictures. I have to get a better camera..er, I mean phone?

Because there’d been so much talk about the “super moon” and how it would be many years before the moon was thisclose to the earth again, last night, on a whim, I decided to take a ride to the one place I thought I’d get a good view of this anomaly: the beach.

The only beach I know of (so far) in my new ‘hood is Duxbury Beach so I plugged it into my “waze” and off I went. I found a few surprises when I got there which include, #1. the parking lot being replaced by dirt…lots of dirt…piles of dirt. There basically was no parking lot. And #2, I wasn’t the only ‘lunatic’ called to the sea for “super” moon viewing.

I met a couple whose names, I believe, are Dana and Peter (who told me there was no parking at Brant Rock. I don’t know where that is yet but will search it out one day soon) and a man with a lovely Indian accent.

Here’s a photo journal of how it went down….or rather, came up!
