The Monkees first recording session took place 52 years ago today (June 10.)

This first recording session featured the now legendary Wrecking Crew, but despite the talent available, the session somehow didn’t produce any released material.  However, this set in motion the machine that became The Monkees in the mid-’60s, where the “Pre-Fab Four” outsold The Beatles.
