ZUMIX is an East Boston-based nonprofit organization dedicated to building our community through music and creative technology. A core belief is that music is the most powerful means of developing adolescent self-identity. Our award-winning music and creative technology programming is designed to equip youth with the tools necessary to reach their full potential, while creating a safe space for youth to explore who they are and who they want to be. Through community events, ZUMIX provides access to top-quality arts experiences for a low-income, under-served neighborhood. –zumix.org
Will YOU walk with us? By walking and fundraising for team ZUMIX, you’re helping to keep classes free and low-cost for almost 1,000 youth each year.
On Sunday, April 28 at 12:30pm, we’ll gather at the ZUMIX Firehouse at 260 Sumner Street for registration and a pep rally. The walk begins at 2pm and takes us through three of East Boston’s incredible green spaces: Piers Park, the East Boston Greenway, and Bremen Street Park. The route will end in Piers Park on the Boston Harbor waterfront with a concert at 3pm featuring ZUMIX youth participants!
Participants who raise $25 or more will receive a FREE t-shirt!
