Join LBF and the WROR Street Team at the Walk to End Homelessness at the Natick Community Senior Center on April 7th starting at 8am.
Did you know in 2017, there were 9,124 families who applied for emergency shelter in Massachusetts but only 4,860 families were given assistance?
Family Promise Metrowest is an organization doing something about it. Families who are denied emergency state shelter because they are over income or “doubled” up on couches with family or friends are welcome in the Family Promise Metrowest shelter. Since 2008, they have provided safe shelter and resources using a community approach. Their network of support has grown to include 50 congregations, over 50 Business Partners and more than 3000 community volunteers working together to make a difference.
On Saturday April 7, Family Promise Metrowest is holding their annual walkathon to raise funds for the organization. The 5K walk starts from the Natick Community Center, 175 East Central Street. Registration opens at 8:00 am. It a wonderful event including music, crafts and activities for the family. Join the fun and be part of the solution to ending family homelessness.
