Tony Campos from Static X is my guest today, as they celebrate the 20th anniversary of their album Wisconsin Death Trip. That album put this band on the map and really kicked off their career.
We discuss the tour, putting the band back together and rehearsing for the tour. The production is a pretty good size undertaking as Tony talks about that and the first show. Was it always going to be an un-named singer to sing for the band and how did they decide to do it the way they are? He tells me about the new album they’re working on and how far along they are. He said his relationship with Wayne at the end of his life wasn’t good. We talk about OzzFest, and more….
Al Beck is back to crash the pod with Rock News. He gives the info on the greatest band on Earth, Steel Panther! As Hell Yeah gets ready to drop their album, Al fills us in on what they’re doing. Zakk Wylde talks about almost joining GNR – which Slash and Axl have both told me about and I play some clips – as well as Slayer news.
Thank You so much for listening. Check out past episodes below and keep checking back. 5 star ratings and reviews are always appreciated.
