In today’s Dirty Laundry, TV icon and esteemed director Penny Marshall was a lot more than Laverne, the coolest Jeopardy contestant story EVER and Bethenny Frankel is alive, but uncomfortable. -LBF

Penny Marshall has died. She was 75. She was famously known for her role as Laverne on “Laverne & Shirley“, where her comedic timing was impeccable. But she was also an excellent director and the first woman to direct a feature film that grossed more than $100 million at the box office. (That was “Big” starring Tom Hanks).  She also directed “A League of Their Own“, “Awakenings” and Riding in Cars With Boys.” She will be missed.

Hey, Janet Fuchs was on Jeopardy. But she was also known as Janet Fox, a member of The Runaways!

And Bethenny Frankel is alive and well after a life-threatening allergic reaction, but she wasn’t very comfortable at Newton-Wellesley Hospital!

Something with Substance

Hey, it’s Julie. Thanks for listening (or considering listening to) my podcast. Something With Substance is a multidimensional  exploration of a subject that, in my opinion, needs to be talked about differently: substance use. The podcast will run approximately 30 minutes and I’ll have a new one up every two weeks.
