Dexys (formerly known as Dexys Midnight Runners) has announced their first North American Tour in 40 years. This limited tour is coming to 14 cities only – including Boston. Dexys will be playing the beautiful Emerson Colonial Theatre on Saturday, November 11.
Best known for their commercial smash-hit “Come On Eileen,” which reached number one in 8 countries and became the best-selling single in the UK and US in 1982, Dexys is regarded as one of the most prominent British bands to arise in the 80s with over 1 billion streams worldwide.
Dexys is making their triumphant return with the arrival of their first new record of original material in over a decade, “The Feminine Divine.” During their Boston concert they will perform their new album from beginning to end, plus play a selection of Dexys classics including plenty from “Too Rye Ay.”
