For those about to rock…we wanna talk to you.  Boston's newest station, ROCK 92.9/The NEXT Generation of Classic Rock (WBOS) is looking for an on-air personality/host.  Connect on-air, on video, and on social media with rock fans in their 30's and 40's.  You must know and love rock from the 80's through the 2000's.  This is a full-time position for an experienced candidate, beyond entry-level ability.

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 5 years of on-air experience, some in Rock and/or Classic Rock formats
  • Able to create and generate daily music and lifestyle content on-air, in blog posts, videos, and photos
  • Comfortable hosting station and client events in front of audiences
  • Strong writing and editing skills and experience with blog platforms such as WordPress
  • Use Social Media constantly
  • Audio editing ability (Adobe Audition, Sound Forge, Pro Tools, Vox Pro, etc.)
  • Able to write, voice, and produce commercial, promo, and/or live on-air copy
  • True team player who can take direction understanding and advancing a plan and work closely with programming, sales, and digital departments

PROMOTIONS COORDINATOR (FULL-TIME)

Description:  Beasley Media Group, LLC is hiring a full-time Promotions Coordinator to work with multiple brands, including HOT 96.9, 105,7 WROR, ALT 92.9 and Country 102.5. The Promotions Coordinator plays an important role in supporting our radio brands in the market. We are looking for an outgoing, hardworking, and creative individual with a strong interest in marketing, promotions and events to join our team.

Job summary:  This individual will report directly to the Marketing Director. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Organize and maintain all promotional giveaways
  • Assist with maintaining the station website – creating daily unique content, designing artwork, and updating calendars
  • Create engaging social media content for all platforms
  • Assist with the coordinating and execution of on-site logistics at station events
  • Work directly with the sales department to acquire all elements needed for sales promotions and events
  • Serve as an ambassador for the radio station
  • Assist with the station Street Team and their activities

Candidates must have a minimum of two years of promotional experience (media experience preferable) and be a proven team player with experience in customer service.  Must be a social-media superstar with in-depth knowledge of Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Proficiency in Photoshop and Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point) are absolutely necessary. A flexible schedule is required, including some nights and weekends. Excellent communications skills, writing skills, problem solving skills and creativity are integral to this position.

STREET TEAM (part-time)

105.7 WROR is seeking part-time Street Team members who are interested in learning more about event marketing and the fascinating world of radio broadcasting and promotions. As part of the Street Team, you will work to gain exposure for the radio station at station-produced and/or sponsored events, area concerts, sporting and cultural events and other on-site opportunities relevant to the station’s marketing and sales efforts.

Candidates must be detail-oriented, creative, and outgoing. They must have strong communication and organizational skills and must be able to represent the station in a positive manner at events. Candidates should have strong people skills, web/internet knowledge, and must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines. All candidates should possess a desire to learn more about promotional/marketing strategies for radio. In order to be considered for the position, candidates must have a valid driver’s license and must be capable of loading the station vehicle in preparation for events.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Set up, execution, and breakdown of station appearances;
  • Representation of the station in a positive manner;
  • Maintenance of station vehicle and prize inventory;
  • Interaction with clients at sales appearances;

This position will be responsible for reviewing invoices and expense reports, assigning general ledger account numbers, scanning invoices to our corporate office,  responding to all vendor inquires and maintaining monthly excel reports for various monthly expenses.  This position will also assist the Human Resource Manager with all Beasley Boston job postings in accordance with the company’s EEO Policies, the processing of new hire and termination paperwork, and assist employees with all HR related questions.

Qualifications:

  • Must have proven working experience as accounts payable clerk/human resource coordinator (EEO experience a plus)

BEASLEY BOSTON INTERNSHIPS

The Internship Program for Beasley Media Group radio stations WBQT HOT 96.9  - Radio 92.9 - WBOS-FM, Country 102.5 - WKLB-FM, 105.7 - WROR-FM is a non-salaried position* which is designed to give students hands-on experience with the various aspects of major market radio stations.  The program is available to students, working for academic credit, who are able to work 10-15 hours per week for twelve weeks. Interns are trained and supervised by the department manager for the particular station(s) you are assigned (i.e. Sales/Programming Promotions, IT/Engineering).

Interns must be resourceful and willing to initiate projects.  Good communications skills and attention to detail are important.
