Alex Swindle, who plays Elvis in Million Dollar Quartet Christmas, joined JayBeau Jones on WROR to talk about the show’s upcoming performances here in Boston.

Million Dollar Quartet Christmas brings together rock ‘n’ roll legends Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Elvis Presley to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year, and is coming to the Emerson Colonial Theatre November 24th through the 26th.

Set on December 4, 1956, when an extraordinary twist of fate brought Cash, Lewis, Perkins and Presley together at Sun Records in Memphis for what would be one of the greatest jam sessions ever. Inspired by the Tony Award-nominated hit musical, Million Dollar Quartet, the show’s holiday edition features a new book from Tony Award-nominated book writer Colin Escott, with holiday hits and chart-toppers such as “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” “Don’t Be Cruel,” “Blue Christmas,” “Santa Claus Is Comin‘ to Town,” “Ring of Fire,” “Santa Baby,” “Run Run Rudolph,” and more.

Alex Swindle has been performing as an Elvis tribute artist for over a decade and is an “Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist” National Grand Champion and Top 10 World Finalist.  His performance is very reminiscent of a young Elvis in his Sun Record days. Check out JayBeau’s conversation with Swindle below.
