Guy Fieri Recognizes Boston Restaurant for ‘Killer’ Pastrami Sandwich

Celebrity food personality Guy Fieri praised a Boston restaurant for serving up one epic pastrami sandwich.

Fieri, a well-known Food Network host, recognized Sam La Grassa's in Boston and its Chipotle Pastrami sandwich as "killer" after he visited to film a segment for his popular Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives program.

According to a report by The Takeout, Sam La Grassa's Chipotle Pastrami is prepared by cooking the pastrami in pastrami stock and water, adding brown sugar, and soaking the meat in more brown sugar for sweetness.

The sandwich is assembled with homemade chipotle mustard, homemade coleslaw, Swiss cheese, and pastrami on an Italian roll, then grilled.

"The kicker, chipotle mustard, really nice heat, not overdone," Fieri remarked in the episode featuring Sam La Grassa's. "I was worried it was going to be too much of the flavor."

Beyond pastrami, the restaurant offers other notable dishes such as clam chowder, chicken sandwiches, and roast beef sandwiches.
