Travelers passing through Boston Logan International Airport can now grab a bite of one of the city’s most beloved traditions — perfectly fried seafood from a local legend. Roger Berkowitz, the longtime face of Legal Sea Foods, has opened a new fast-casual restaurant called Roger’s Fish Co. inside Terminal A’s satellite area, bringing his fresh take on classic New England favorites to the skies.
This marks Berkowitz’s first restaurant concept since selling the Legal Sea Foods brand. The 700-square-foot eatery aims to deliver full-service quality in a quick, traveler-friendly format. With counter service, seating, and a streamlined menu of seafood staples, it’s designed to give jet-setters a taste of Boston’s coastal comfort without the sit-down wait.
“Roger Berkowitz is a longtime partner here at Boston Logan, and we are excited to welcome him and Roger’s Fish Co.,” said Rich Davey, CEO of Massport, in the announcement. “Seafood is an iconic part of Boston’s culture, and passengers will now have another great option to experience fresh, fantastic seafood while visiting the airport.”
The menu reads like a greatest-hits list of Berkowitz’s favorites. There’s the Double Clam Chowder, with clams front and center and a thinner, more flavorful broth; Roger’s F’n Chips, made with crispy fried haddock and his Kickin’ Tartar Sauce; and the Lobster BLT, a baguette filled with lobster salad, bacon, lettuce, and avocado. Travelers can also dig into crab cakes — either as a sandwich or entrée — packed with fresh lump crab meat, plus beers, ciders, and frozen cocktails for a little pre-flight unwind.
In a statement, Berkowitz said he’s thrilled to be “back at Logan once again,” serving up seafood that’s both familiar and elevated. He described Roger’s Fish Co. as “a modern-day fish shack” that emphasizes speed and efficiency without cutting corners on quality.
The restaurant is part of the airport’s larger effort to spotlight local businesses. MarketPlace Development, which manages Logan’s concessions program, has worked to fill the terminals with eateries that feel distinctly Bostonian — and Roger’s Fish Co. fits that mold perfectly.
“As preferences evolve, we’re focused on introducing fresh concepts while delivering the familiar flavors that define Boston,” said Michael DiCosola, president of MarketPlace Development. “Roger’s Fish Co. brings a locally inspired, high-quality option for visitors and residents alike.”
Roger’s Fish Co. opens daily at 7 a.m. and closes 30 minutes before the final departure from Terminal A, making it an easy stop for early travelers or those winding down at the end of the day.
For anyone who grew up on Legal Sea Foods or just loves a good lobster roll, Roger’s Fish Co. brings a new chapter to a Boston dining legacy — this time by land, sea, and air.
