Merrimack Valley will host multiple events this month to honor Irish Heritage Month. Here are a few recommendations for events that will have you seeing green.
Celtic Melodies Concert
Pianist Terri Kelley and vocalist Bill Donelan will perform Celtic melodies at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, at the Lawrence Public Library's Sargent Auditorium, 51 Lawrence St. For more information, contact the library at 978-620-3600.
Family Irish Fest in Plaistow
Children and families can “Clap, Sing, Jig!” at the Family Irish Fest, starting at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, at Plaistow Public Library, 85 Main St. The program will include Irish dance, harp, and music performances.
Irish Film Festival
Division 8 AOH will hold an Irish Film Festival at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 28, at Lawrence Heritage State Park Visitors Center. Admission is free. For more information, call 978-794-1655.
Rick Barry Breakfast
The 24th annual Rick Barry St. Patrick's Day Breakfast will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17, at Haverhill Country Club, 58 Brickett Lane. Proceeds will support the Michael B. Christensen Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse.
St. Patrick's Day at Oak & Iron
Oak & Iron Brewing Co. will host a 21-plus St. Patrick's Day celebration from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, at 18 Red Spring Road. Participants can enjoy Irish-themed beer, food, and live music.
St. Patrick's Day Luncheon
The 55th annual St. Patrick's Day Luncheon will be held at noon on Friday, March 13, at the Lawrence Elks Lodge. The event features a traditional dinner, live entertainment, and presentation of the Honorable John E. Fenton Citizenship Award. For questions, call 978-687-7274.
St. Patrick's Day Parade
The Methuen St. Patrick's Day Parade will begin at noon Saturday, March 21, from Nicholson Stadium to the Pelham Street Park and Ride. The Irish Cottage Restaurant and Pub presents the event.
