A new concept from the Coda Restaurant Group will open in Fort Point in the former Blue Dragon space at 324 A St., near the waterfront, later this summer.

According to a Boston magazine report, the new restaurant, named Céline, is named after Québec's greatest export, Céline Dion. “She's the greatest voice of our time and has been this hilarious, fun, but also serious representation of Québec and Montréal,” said Coda CEO and partner Deirdre Auld in a statement shared with Boston magazine.

Céline aims to blend Montréalan flair with American fare. While the menu direction is still in its early stages, potential dishes identified include a simple green salad, a memorable burger, steak or salmon tartare, chicken liver mousse, well-prepared fish, and a possible poutine as a rotating special.

Céline will embody the comfort of an American tavern with Montreal-French technique and soul. It will offer roast chicken, burgers, a rotating raw bar, elevated tavern food classics, and a curated wine and cocktail program.

Coda Restaurant Group management said they are thrilled to embark on this new project in Fort Point.  “The neighborhood has evolved so much,” Auld said. “There's more of a residential component in parts of Fort Point that didn't exist before, and the Seaport, obviously, has drastically changed. So I'm very excited for us to bring something that is really neighborhood-centric.”

Auld explained that Coda's growth strategy focuses on aligning new concepts with suitable spaces. He said the focus is on hospitality, approachability, and affordability to sustain neighborhood support amid rising costs.

Boston magazine noted that Coda's evolving portfolio includes SRV, Baleia, Salty Pig, and Gufo. Coda leadership has suggested future plans for more concepts and growth beyond a fifth restaurant while keeping community and connection at the heart of the guest experience.
