Salem State University has announced it will host a Boston Bruins alumni hockey game against Salem State alumni to benefit the university's athletics programs. This game is the first time that Salem State has held this type of game for Bruins alumni.

The exhibition game is set for Feb. 22 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the O'Keefe Sports Complex in Salem. Free parking will be available at the facility, located at 225 Canal St. in Salem.

General admission tickets are $15. Salem State students can buy tickets at the door for $10 with a valid ID. Additionally, a limited number of post-event tickets at $50 each will include a private reception with Bruins alumni.

Proceeds from ticket sales will support Salem State athletics, providing resources and growth opportunities for student-athletes.

"This event is about more than just hockey," said Mike Mitchell, director of engagement at Salem State, in a statement shared with the Patch of Salem. "It's an opportunity to bring families, alumni, and community members together on campus in a way that feels meaningful and fun. We're proud to create an experience that connects our past, present, and future while strengthening Salem State's ties to the surrounding community."

According to the Patch report, a limited number of opportunities will be available for Salem State community members interested in competing against the Bruins alumni. Those who want to learn more can email Mike Mitchell or call 978-542-3063.
