New U.S. News & World Report rankings released on Tuesday, March 25, named 19 Massachusetts bed-and-breakfast establishments among the best in the United States.

In its 2025 Best Bed & Breakfasts list, U.S. News & World report considered more than 350 bed-and-breakfasts, inns, and hotels across 17 cities and small towns. The rankings are based on U.S. News user research that profile which accommodations would appeal to travelers.

In Massachusetts, the bed-and-breakfasts named to the list include those in Boston and Salem. Here are the 19 establishments and their rankings:

“Bed-and-breakfasts offer local immersion, providing travelers with the personal connection they often crave,” Zach Watson, senior travel editor at U.S. News, said in a news release shared with the Patch Massachusetts. “The 2025 Best Bed & Breakfasts rankings celebrate local establishments where hosts are unofficial guides, breakfast conversations reveal hidden gems, and top properties play a part in each community's story.”
