DM Disaster: Just Wash It

Today’s DM Disaster is Just Wash It. Listener Liz was inspired by a recent show topic we were discussing; she confessed to a habit that’s driving her boyfriend up the wall. She hasn’t washed her workout clothes in months. That’s correct MONTHS. Why is Liz thinking this way? She says, ‘If she’s just going to sweat in them again the next day, what’s the point’ To her, washing gym clothes is as pointless as making the bed completely unnecessary.

Bob and LBF were immediately horrified and asked how her boyfriend feels about it. Turns out, it’s not great. He’s so disgusted that he refuses to go near her after the gym, even giving her the nickname The Stink Monster. She finds this extremely dramatic, especially since she showers after every workout and uses deodorant. It’s just the clothes, and in her opinion, they don’t even smell that bad.

Liz’s boyfriend took matters into his own hands, secretly washing her gym clothes. Unfortunately, his attempt at "helping" ended in disaster, shrinking all her workout clothes. Now, she’s stuck with leggings that are barely fit or forced to spend money on new ones, which completely defeats the purpose of not washing them in the first place. Despite the ongoing battle, she’s standing on her ground. Either her boyfriend can learn to live with it, or he can take over laundry duty himself. But given his track record, she doubts that’ll end well.
