The Emerson Colonial Theatre in Boston will put on "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" this fall. Playing from November 9 through December 20, the show is making a big stop on its first tour across North America.

This magical show runs two hours and 50 minutes. Taking place twenty years after the last Potter story, it follows young Hogwarts students who mess with time while trying to help a classmate.

Tickets go on sale February 28 at noon. Before coming to Massachusetts, the show kicks off at Chicago's James M. Nederlander Theatre in September 2024.

"Developing a first-class touring production has long been an ambition of ours," said producers Sonia Friedman and Colin Callender to Playbill.

The talented team behind the show includes Steven Hoggett handling movement, Christine Jones creating the sets, and Katrina Lindsay doing costumes. Jamie Harrison handles the special effects, while Imogen Heap created the music.

Three creative minds brought this story to life: J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne, and John Tiffany. Thorne wrote the script, while Tiffany directs the show.

This version matches the shorter one-part show running on Broadway at the Lyric Theatre. Meanwhile, London's West End still shows the original two-part version after seven years, as New York celebrates its fifth year of shows.

The show has already wowed audiences in Melbourne, Toronto, and San Francisco. Currently, people are filling theaters in London, New York, Hamburg, and Tokyo to see the show.

The show comes from Sonia Friedman Productions, Colin Callender, and Harry Potter Theatrical Productions. It continues the beloved Potter story that has captured readers around the world.
