PopUp Bagels Plans Second Boston-Area Shop in Somerville
A new batch of freshly made bagels will soon land in Somerville when PopUp Bagels opens its second Massachusetts spot at Assembly Row this summer.
After opening in Boston’s Seaport district just months ago, the shop has been drawing huge crowds. Weekend mornings see long lines of bagel lovers waiting outside. The new location is right by Assembly station, making it easy for commuters to grab breakfast on the go.
“Expanding to Boston is an exciting step for us,” says Adam Goldberg to QSR Magazine. “This is a city with such a rich food culture and a strong sense of community, and we’re thrilled to bring something new to the table. Boston is not just another city for us—it’s the beginning of a new chapter as we continue to grow.”
What started as a pandemic side project has grown into several shops across New York and Connecticut. Massachusetts locals can also get their bagels through weekly pickup spots at Captain Marden’s Seafoods in Wellesley.
Hot from the oven, these bagels come whole and uncut – staying true to their motto: “The bagel as it should be.”
Boston fans can’t get enough of the viral Grillo’s Pickles Pickle de Gallo spread, which stands out among their cream cheese options.
Their growing popularity is backed by awards – winning Brooklyn’s BagelFest Best Bagel title twice. The New York Times even put them on their list of NYC’s top bagel makers.
