Drink Coffee And Live Longer? Yup, Pour Another Cup
Here’s some good news for folks who enjoy coffee, especially if you drink it every day. There’s new research showing that drinking coffee gives you a longer lifespan. This goes against conventional wisdom, and thinking because we have heard for years. That caffeine can be too much of a good thing.
You would think that coffee with its extra kick would do more damage to your heart, because caffeine accelerates your heart rate. It turns out that having your coffee before noon and stopping after lunch is actually beneficial to your heart. you would think that coffee with its extra kick would do more damage to your heart, because caffeine accelerates your heart rate. Of course, there is too much of a good thing as well with coffee. The research shows that you should only have 3 cups per day and stop early for maximum benefits.
Keep your heart in mind
I happen to enjoy coffee myself and have drank plenty of it in my lifetime. Unfortunately for me to years ago it started to affect my blood pressure in a big way. I was drinking at least 2 to 3 cups in the morning and more in the afternoon. With my hours as a host of a morning show Coffee is almost a must. Or so I thought.
I couldn’t get to the bottom of why my blood pressure was suddenly spiking higher than normal. I decided to make dietary changes in the amount of salt I was consuming, that helped but it wasn’t enough until it occurred to me that the blood sugar spikes were highest in the morning after drinking.
I Decided to switch to decaffeinated coffee to see if that would help, the benefits were almost immediate. My blood pressure dropped and return to mostly normal numbers. I got used to drinking it and now it’s pretty much all I drink except for an occasional iced coffee in the afternoon before Idecided to switch to decaffeinated coffee to see if that would help, the benefits were almost immediate.

that’s my story, and it’s not the case for everybody, but even decaffeinated coffee has long-term health benefits for you as well.
Here’s the latest research on drinking coffee
Scientists tracked people’s health for 10 years and split them into three categories: People who only drank coffee in the morning . . . people who drank it all day . . . and people who didn’t drink it at all.
The morning coffee drinkers had a 16% lower risk of dying for any reason, and a 31% lower risk of dying from heart disease compared to the non-coffee group.
But the benefits disappeared for people who drank coffee all day. So, having your last cup before noon could save your life.
“Moderate” coffee drinkers saw the biggest benefits. They defined moderate as two to three cups each morning. The benefits dropped by half for people who drank more than that.
They’re not sure why drinking it later in the day makes a difference. Their best guess is it messes with your sleep.
