Grab your wallets. Grab your freezer space. And maybe grab a tissue. Because two Girl Scout cookie favorites are officially headed for retirement.

Yes, it’s that magical time of year again—Girl Scout Cookie season is back! Thin Mints? Check. Samoas? Absolutely. Peanut Butter Patties? You bet.

But this season comes with a bittersweet twist.

2025 marks the final year for Girl Scout S’mores and Toast-Yay! cookies.

That’s right. These two beloved flavors have been handed their pink slips. S’mores, the gooey, chocolatey campfire classic introduced in 2017, and Toast-Yay!, the delightful, French-toast-inspired treat that debuted in 2021, are leaving the cookie stage after this season.

But don’t panic—yet. You’ve got until the end of the 2025 cookie season to stock up. Pro tip: Maybe invest in an extra freezer. Future You will thank you.

This is actually the first time ever the Girl Scouts have given us a heads-up about retiring flavors.

Usually, they just disappear quietly into the cookie void. So, consider this your official warning:

Eat, stockpile, repeat.

Of course, the classics aren’t going anywhere. Thin Mints, Samoas, Trefoils, Adventurefuls—the A-team is still reporting for duty. But let’s be real: the S’mores and Toast-Yay! swan song deserves a standing ovation.

The 2025 Girl Scout Cookie season runs through April, and if you don’t know a Girl Scout, don’t worry—you can still snag your cookie fix. Visit GirlScouts.org to track down a local troop or cookie booth. And starting February 21, you can even have cookies shipped straight to your door. Technology, right?

So here’s the plan: Support your local Girl Scouts. Buy all your faves. And most importantly, bid a sweet farewell to S’mores and Toast-Yay! They deserve to go out in style—preferably with a tall glass of milk.

Happy snacking, cookie fans.
