Alien attack

Alien abduction concept. Young man is abducted by UFO.

If aliens attack, we're good.

Turns out Massachusetts might just be the perfect place to hunker down when the UFOs start swarming. That’s right, the Bay State ranks in the top 10 safest places to survive an alien invasion.

The Rise of Alien Anxiety

With UFO sightings reaching record highs and a whopping 64% of Americans now believing in alien life, it’s no surprise that survival tips for an alien encounter are in high demand. A recent survey by Rant Casino ranks U.S. states based on their ability to fend off extraterrestrial threats. And the good news? Massachusetts scored high—right up there with the survival heavyweights.

Massachusetts might not have the same military density as Virginia, but what it does have is brains, brawn, and plenty of natural cover. The state’s lush forests, solid healthcare infrastructure, and high law enforcement presence help it stand out as an alien-safe haven. Whether it’s the doctors, scientists, or a strong police presence, Massachusetts has the resources to outsmart—or at least outlast—whatever otherworldly threats come its way.

Who Tops the List? Hint: It’s Not Nevada

Virginia, Alabama, and Minnesota took the top three spots, thanks to their caves, forests, and serious military muscle. But Massachusetts joins the list at number four, proving that even the New England charm has its survival perks.

Why Massachusetts? Think Caves, Cops, and Common Sense

But what about Nevada? The land of Area 51 scored as the least likely state to survive an alien invasion. High UFO sightings, low water resources, and a lack of forest cover make it more like a flashing “Welcome” sign for aliens.

Who knew?

Ready for an Alien Survival Plan?

While we’re still waiting on any concrete alien arrivals, it’s nice to know that Massachusetts has your back in a cosmic showdown. So, if the mothership lands, pack your survival kit and head to the nearest forest. Or just relax—Massachusetts has it under control.
