Ring Camera Offering $100 Grand For Ghost Sighting
Ring is going big for Halloween this year with a spooky challenge—and it’s worth $100,000.
They’re calling it the Great Ghost Search, and the rules are simple: if you catch actual, undeniable footage of a ghost on your Ring camera, you could win big.
But the clock’s ticking.
You have until November 1st, to submit your supernatural clip.
Last year, Ring camera ran a similar contest for “Out of This World” footage of aliens.
Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately?), nobody had evidence of E.T. hanging around.
This year, though, it’s all about ghosts.
Whether you’ve captured something eerie, shadowy, or downright spine-tingling, this contest is your chance to turn the unexplained into cold hard cash.
The rules are straightforward:
- Videos must be 30 seconds or less.
- They have to be captured on a Ring device.
So, got a perfect ghostly clip from a different camera? Tough luck. Only Ring footage counts. But if you do have something bizarre, chilling, and captured on a Ring, you’re in the running.
If no one catches a bona fide ghost, the $100,000 prize will go to the most unique or entertaining clip. Ring’s judges will have a keen eye for creativity, so even the mysterious light streaks, unexplained shadows, or odd noises might just make the cut.
And if you’re not sure if ghosts are real, you might want to check the history books.
Famous ghost sightings have fascinated us for centuries. One of the most well-known? The Brown Lady of Raynham Hall in England. This ghost, allegedly caught on camera in 1936, shows a haunting figure floating down a staircase.
Then there’s the Amityville Ghost Boy, spotted in 1976 during a paranormal investigation at the infamous house.
Think you can add your ghost sighting?
To enter Ring’s Great Ghost Search, Ring users can submit videos at ring.com/ghostsearch by 11:59 p.m. PDT on November 1. Only the first 5,000 entries will be considered, so don’t wait! Each entry needs a short description (100 words max) describing the scene. Entries can show unaltered footage or playful ghost creations—just make it entertaining. Judging is based on visibility, clarity, uniqueness, and engagement, with Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard and paranormal expert Katrina Weidman on the panel. Get creative! Costumes, props, and humor are encouraged. See Ring’s terms for more details.
