What’s in a name?

What does this say about the lack of imagination and dare I say, risk taking spirit of thinking out of the box and come up with something totally different? One can only imagine what the classroom will look like with so many girls names one of the 3 most popular names.

Each generation has their own popular names that parents choose from. When I was growing up in the 70’s, there were at least 4 Cheryl’s and Michelle’s in my classroom. Now you would be very hard pressed to find a baby names either of those names.

Popular names come and go. For instance one of the most common names from long ago for baby girls would be Ella. It went out of favor for almost a century but is now one of the most popular names of today.
