Mark Wahlberg Crashed Party At Daughters College
When Dorchester’s most famous Dad Mark Wahlberg crashed a party at his daughter’s college, was she embarrassed? Probably not. I know if my Dad was poking around at party during my party days, it would be weird. I’d ask why he was snooping? Maybe Mark’s reason was more professional. Mark could be preparing for his new movie on Apple TV+ The Family Plan.
Mark Wahlberg’s New Movie
This movie takes a page right out of the National Lampoon’s Vacation movies. The Family Plan starts out like every family movie: a hapless Dad, trying to enjoy family time complete with an annoyed wife and kids. But Clark Griswold wasn’t a trained, high level government assassin, leading a double life. That’s where Wahlberg’s Dan Morgan comes in. Now I haven’t seen this movie yet, but the trailer won me over. When Dan has to take the family on the run and relocate to Las Vegas, the hysterical, yet dangerous family chaos kicks in.
The Trailer
One moment that cracked me up was when Dan tells his family that he is not who they think he really is. He’s leading a double life, as a trained government spy, who has killed. The kids crack up laughing. It is what every kid would do, upon hearing their Dad make such a ridiculous claim. But what happens next is NO laughing matter. Well actually, it WAS funny seeing Dan fight off a killer in the supermarket, while holding his adorable ten month old, baby, who laughed through the entire ordeal. (Well it’s funny to me. No children were hurt during filming this movie.)
Dad, Why Are You Crashing My Party?
According to people.com, Wahlberg says that he and daughter Ella, 20, attended a frat party together when he visited his daughter for parents’ weekend at Clemson University in South Carolina.
“They were having the most fun I’ve ever seen anybody have, ever! Even more than her coming to Vegas,” Wahlberg told ET of his time visiting Ella’s college in September. It seems like Ella LOVED it.
Along with Ella, Mark with wife Rhea Durham are parents to daughter Grace, 13, and sons Brendan, 15, and Michael, 17.
Watch out kids! A Mark Wahlberg crashed party at your college is next!
