Shaq Opening 6 Massachusetts Restaurants
Breaking: Shaq Is Opening 6 Restaurants In Massachusetts!
Opening a new restaurant in our competitive foodie state is a tall order. There is no one MORE qualified to take on this TALL order than NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal.
First, he’s 7 feet and 1 inch tall. When you see Shaq walk into a crowed room, of 500 people, you still see him OVER the crowd. I have. It’s stunning to see him up close. You are looking UP the whole time. Before we take a bite into his new Massachusetts restaurant, let’s see some stats.
Shaq Stats
Shaq has played for six teams in an amazing 19 year career for the NBA. He is also a FOUR-TIME NBA champion. O’Neal’s individual accolades include the 1999–2000 Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award; the 1992–93 NBA Rookie of the Year award; 15 All-Star Game selections, three All-Star Game MVP awards; three Finals MVP awards; two scoring titles; 14 All-NBA team selections, and three NBA All-Defensive Team selections. He was clearly one of the best players of our time. Shaq even did a stint for the Celtics, in 2010 and 2011 before retiring.
Career After The NBA
His storied history is WAY too extraordinary to list it all here. But, here’s a short list of the accolades of the tall man.
Shaq has music albums, acting credits in movies, TV, and video games. Shaq has appeared in numerous television commercials and was the spokesperson for many brands. He also supports law enforcement and was sworn in as an honorary police officer in Los Angeles, Florida and Georgia.
Along with owning and operating hundreds of businesses, reportedly Shaq has a television show on HBO.

O’Neal apparently misses his Celtics days. According to Boston 25:
Big Chicken, a concept founded by O’Neal, recently announced that it signed an agreement with Restaurant Brands International (QSR) that will bring locations to Boston, the MetroWest, Cape Cod, and the North Shore regions of the Bay State.
Big Chicken’s website shares a peek of the menu:
“From crispy chicken sandwiches and tenders to Cheez-It crusted mac n’ cheese and hand-crafted ice cream shakes, each menu item tells a story all while offering guests an inside look into the life and personality of Shaquille O’Neal.”
If that ice cream shake is half as tall as Shaq, I’m in. Look for a location coming to the North Shore Mall.
