NO SNOW In Boston Breaks Northeast Record
Sorry kids, it may be a NO SNOW in Boston, Winter. Which means you may NOT be getting ANY snow days off this winter, if the weather doesn’t change. I actually feel bad for my friends that have a snow plow business. Last year, I remember them telling me, we had only ONE big storm last year! I remember only snow blowing ONCE.
Well it’s November 2023, and we have barely seen any snow. With that said, we may have gotten lucky. Will we be as lucky this year?
We Can Thank El Nino
If we get the same deal this year, as we got last year, it could be a mild Winter. According to WBZ-TV:
Last year, we expected December to be the coldest month versus average of the season, and it was. This year, we expect the opposite. It should feature theand lowest chances for sustained snowfall. This would be the case with El Nino plus the +IOD on their own, but especially true since it appears the polar vortex will be in a strong state during most of the month.
The experts say that El Nino is the deathblow to Winter snow around here. What IS El Nino? It’s basically a weather activity that results in warmer water, and less snow.
No Snow Boston Breaks Record
According to Fox Weather, the LACK of snow in Boston, New York City and Philadelphia has broken a record for the LEAST snow:
Major cities in the Northeast, like New York City and Philadelphia, have broken records regarding snowfall – but not because there’s too much of the white stuff. Instead, it’s because it has been nearly 22 months since those cities have seen an inch of snow in a single calendar day from a winter weather event.
