Oh Boy, Here Are The Top Foods That Will Leave You Feeling “Backed Up” This Thanksgiving
The Top Holiday Foods That Leave Us . . . Well . . . “Backed Up”
Somebody had to ask the question, what are the top foods that will leave you feeling “backed up” this Thanksgiving? Maybe you can share these not so fun facts at the dining room table, or maybe you can “table” these little nuggets of useful information till after dinner. That’s entirely up to you, but people might want to know about this study before they sit down to eat.
Everybody has that uncle or aunt in the family that is a font of useless facts, these might actually be useful for a change. So, rather than talk politics or how bad your favorite team is doing this season, why not share something they can put to use?
Plumbers are very busy on Thanksgiving right?
Haven’t we always heard that plumbers love Thanksgiving because of all the clogged pipes? We are lead to believe that plumbers celebrate the day with their trucks running just to be ready to dart out the door and save some poor family from the grief and embarrassment of a toilet won’t unclog. This study kind of flies in the face of that common notion, because how can a toilet be clogged if nobody is using it due to being a little clogged themselves?
There’s a new study out on the holiday foods that could cause constipation.
There are plenty of times to watch what you eat, but for a lot of people, that starts sometime AFTER the next six weeks.
There’s a survey out on the holiday foods that cause constipation for some people. (If you’re wondering who’s thinking about THAT right now, it was commissioned by a company that makes laxatives . . . so, yeah.)
Turkey is #1. 44% of people say it can get them “backed up.” Pecan pie is second, followed by potatoes . . . chocolate . . . pumpkin pie . . . fudge . . . sugary candies . . . stuffing . . . ham . . . and “rack of lamb.”
How about drink culprits?
The top beverages that “clog the system” include: Chocolate milk . . . non-alcoholic eggnog . . . hot chocolate . . . espresso martinis . . . alcoholic eggnog . . . and peppermint martinis.
Overall, 70% of people say they experience constipation more frequently during the holiday season. (It’s impressive that people pig out so much . . . and yet they can still identify the culprit that’s the main cause of the problem.)
