Zodiac Pet Signs: Why Does My Pet Do This?
Whether it’s a dog, or cat, we think we KNOW our pets. Should we look to the stars to help us with our pets? When were they born? Are there Zodiac Pet Signs that could give us a heads up when they get weird?
For the most part, over time, experience helps us get to know our fur babies. They become predictable and familiar, until they are not. This was our experience with our little kitty Ellie.
Cats See By Smell
My wife Heidi is the Jackson Galaxy of wives. She’s almost a pet expert. But a few years back, our little girl Ellie threw us for a loop. Heidi brought our older tuxedo cat named Bobo, short for Bocelli, like famous singer, (hence, the tuxedo) home back from the vet. It was an extensive check up. So, Bobo was there a good part of the day. Heidi dropped off Bobo, and then went back to pick him up. It seemed like a normal day. We have done this before, and Ellie seemed fine with it. Not this day.
The Terror Begins
The moment Bobo was let out his cat carrier, Heidi Galaxy, out of the corner of her eye noticed Ellie moving into pounce, attack position. Instinctively Heidi knew Ellie (girl) was about to LUNGE on to her older, bigger brother, Bobo! Heidi was right. IMMEDIATLEY Heidi rushed to grab Bobo and protect him, holding him tight while standing. Ellie, let out an unfamiliar GUTTERAL cat-like SCREECH that you’d hear in a horror movie, and LUNGED at both of them. Thankfully, Bobo a lover, not a fighter, was spared. Heidi, not so much. Ellie, at least took one victim down. Heidi got a clawed scratch right around her belly button area. Bobo was put in the bathroom for safety, Ellie got a time out.
Once things settled down, we discovered that it was possible that because Bobo spent the day at the vet, he picked up the scent of OTHER animals. So when he arrived at home, he seemed like a stranger to Ellie. Weird, but possible true. So over time, when Bobo came back the vet, we had to immediately put Ellie in lockdown, and then rush Bobo into a bath tub to wash him. He hated it. But in the long run, saved him from Ellie the Barbarian. We really can’t blame Ellie. She was a rescue cat, who reportedly spend some hard times on the streets and was a fighter, unlike Bobo who was nothing but love. We said goodbye to Bobo last fall. He was such a charismatic soul, he was a rock star to everyone that met him. Like Taylor Swift at a Chiefs game, he kind sucked the oxygen out of the room and got all of the attention. Not that he’s in Heaven, Ellie is number one. Now that she’s the rock star, and she IS, her entire demeanor has changed. She is now very loving and relaxed.
Can The Stars Help Us?
Maybe to help us with our pets odd behavior, Old Farmers Almanac shared their list of Zodiac signs. Our pet’s birthday, may share some insight on their behavior.
But first say hi to Ellie and Bobo.

We missed our handsome Bobo. He’s on his favorite robe we call “Jon Snow.” (It’s like the robe Snow wore in Game Of Thrones.)
