Massachusetts Welcomes 9-11 Exhibit On Wheels
It is the one anniversary in September we have to look forward to. But yet, it’s hard each year. As Quincy Massachusetts welcomes a new 9-11 exhibit, it’s hard to believe the attack on the Twin Towers happened 22 years ago. It’s NOT hard to remember where we were when it all happened.
Remembering 9-11
I read somewhere that grieving a lost one can be like being overwhelmed with pain. Imagine this picture: the grief is represented by an imaginary big black ball, inhabiting all of your space, sucking up your energy and air. In the initial time of loss, and shortly after, the big black ball takes up all of your life, space and energy. Over the time, the ball (grief) doesn’t get smaller. BUT, the space AROUND the ball, gets larger, allowing us not to forget, but begin to feel, mourn, and heal. It’s sounds easier on paper, doesn’t it?
I was in Chicago between jobs when 9-11 occurred. After that day everything changed. What have we learned? We have learned that every moment alive with loved ones and friends in our life, is a gift.
Massachusetts Welcomes 9-11 Exhibit On Wheels
Now through Saturday, a mobile museum dedicated to 9-11 is in Quincy. Created by The Tunnel to Towers Foundation, it’s called the 9/11 Never Forget Mobile Exhibit.
According to WCVB:
The high-tech, 83-foot tractor-trailer transforms into a 1,100-square-foot exhibit that further educates people about the tragic events that happened 22 years ago. The exhibit includes steel beams from the twin towers, documentary videos and recordings of first responder radio transmissions.
The exhibit has traveled to all 50 states and is set up in the McConville/Hannon Parking Lot, near the Generals Bridge and Park.
The Tunnel To Towers Foundation was created after 9-11, to help families of fallen responders rebuild their life after the tragic loss of loved ones, who lost their life on 9-11. TTTF is also committed to eradicating veteran homelessness and helping America to Never Forget September 11, 2001. To read more and make a donation click here.
