As Bruce Springsteen postpones his Connecticut show, and NOW Albany, what about Boston could be our next question. The lingering illness that seems to be going around has caught up to the E Street Band.

After postponing their Columbus show late last week, it didn’t take long for Mohegan Sun to follow and announce  that the Sunday show has been postponed due to illness:

This is the THIRD show in a week that was actually postponed due to illness. Back in February, illness caused Steven Van Zant to miss a Dallas show at the American Airlines Center. He came down with Covid. According to njarts.net:

E Street Band member Steven Van Zandt posted on Twitter that he has COVID-19 after he did not appear onstage at the band’s Feb. 10 concert with Bruce Springsteen at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.

But, the show went on with no postponement.

On February 16th, sax player Jake Clemons came down with Covid, and missed the Austin, Texas show. According to the Asbury Park Press:

“Our regular saxophonist Jake Clemons sends his love from the Four Seasons, where he’s sitting with COVID eating cheeseburgers and watching pornographic films,” said Springsteen from the stage early in the show, according to a livestream. The E Street variant of COVID that’s been running through the band has so far not resulted in any long-term issues. Band members have returned to the stage in less than a week: Nils Lofgren returned Thursday, and Little Steven Van Zandt and Soozie Tyrell returned earlier this week.

So for Columbus, and Connecticut, Bruce himself, came down with something that has prohibited him to perform. Here are the dates that have postponed, and the nearby dates still on.
