Bobservation: It’s National Bathtub Day, and I say Soak it in!
Today, February 9th is National Read A Book In The Bathtub Day and I say yes! Soak it in, or soak in it.
Men in hot water!
Now, for some reason baths are only associated with the ladies, not guys like me. When I mentioned it on the air today, my co-host LBF almost had to leave the studio because she could no longer look at me.
She says her husband Dave would never take a bath, and my wife Carolyn would agree with them, but I think men have been missing out on the total relaxation you get from an occasional hot bath session.
Not just for the ladies anymore!
Don’t get me wrong, it’s not something I do every day or every week, just the times when I’m in need of some total downtime. Maybe after a good work out or heavy lifting around the house or yard.
For some reason, men are not supposed to enjoy the bathtub, we’re only supposed to shower, which of course I do sometimes 2 times a day (if I have gone to the gym). Why is it so looked down on? It’s not like I’m dropping bath bombs and playing with my rubber duckies. Nope, I just want to relax in a bath that’s as hot as I can stand it, turn on some music, or read a paperback (yup still read paperbacks).
Add Epsom Salts
Epsoms salts are said to be good for your muscles, so add a cup or two and you will feel the difference in your muscles after you get out. Of course, feel free to add bubbles if that’s your thing, or essential oils if you have dry skin (which I don’t)
