Patriots Let Grieving College Players Use Team Plane to Fly To Funerals
It was a weekend off for the New England Patriots… but not the team plane. The Pats let University of Virginia players use the aircraft so they could be at the funerals of 3 of their teammates who were tragically shot and killed on their way home from a class trip. The Patriots plane flew the players to funerals in North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida, according to Channel 10.
This isn’t the first the time the Patriots have stepped up in a time like this. You might remember they flew dozens of healthcare workers to the Super Bowl. Then there was the trip to bring needed medical supplies to Haiti.
The plane will have some time to recharge since the Patriots are at home this week for a Thursday Night Fooball game with the Buffalo Bills at Gillette. [Source: Channel 10]
