Ok, whoa.....TAP the breaks. This crazy story broke today. Is Tom Brady quitting mid season to SAVE his marriage? Tom is no stranger to the Hail Mary.
The Story
According to a news organization called The Sun:
"Chris Simms, who was a quarterback for several teams during his eight-season NFL career, thinks Brady could walk away from the game again given what he's dealing with off the field."
Now, it must be shared that The Sun is a notorious U.K. tabloid and eats this stuff up. So, we COULD take this with a grain of salt.
With that said, I think that, most reasonable people would agree that:
- Tom is the greatest NFL player of ALL time
- He has nothing more to prove
- NO ONE wants to see him get hurt as he ages
- NO ONE wants to see him and Giselle split up
- He has given the sport some of the greatest memories of all time.
- Will be remembered (to me) as leaving on TOP
Personally, I think he'd come out sunny side up choosing his family first. Sure, Buccaneers fan's would be scarred for a few years. Didn't they hate him when he played for us? Of course one wonders if Tom's contract allows his to walk mid-season. Well, we wish Tom and Giselle the best of luck.
Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady have been married since 2009 and share two children together: Vivian Lake Brady and Benjamin Rein. After meeting through friends in 2006, Brady and Bündchen started seeing each other that December.
“I knew right way — the first time I saw him,” she recalled to Vanity Fair in 2009 about Brady. “We met through a friend. The moment I saw him, he smiled and I was like, ‘That is the most beautiful, charismatic smile I’ve ever seen!’ We sat and talked for three hours. I had to go home for Christmas, but I didn’t want to leave. You know that feeling of, like, you can’t get enough? From the first day we met, we’ve never spent one day without speaking to each other.”
For the picture-perfect couple, it wasn't always rainbows and butterflies. They had their fair share of trouble, starting with Brady's ex, Bridget Moynahan being pregnant with his child in February 2007.
The couple got engaged in January of 2009 and wed one month later in Santa Monica, California. They then threw another wedding two months later in Costa Rica. Nine months later, the couple welcomed their first child together, Benjamin. Three years later daughter Vivian was born.

Update 9-8-22: Page Six reporting that Giselle is BACK in Florida, but NOT with Tom:
Gisele Bündchen still hasn’t patched things up with Tom Brady, despite her return to Florida from Costa Rica.
A source told us, “Gisele isn’t back with Tom.
“She flew back to Florida to be with her kids but hasn’t been to their home in Tampa.
“Tom is still hoping they can reconcile. Gisele has told him she’s leaving him before, and they always made up when she cooled down.”
Bündchen is believed to be staying in Miami.
The source added that reports they are currently divorcing are “not true,” although other insiders say the couple could be headed in that direction.
We've been hearing these stories more and more. Did Tom and Giselle split? Of course, NO one (except the competition) wants to see Brady Bunch turmoil.
After the news of Tom Brady missing Buccaneers practice for personal reasons, media speculation exploded. Even Tom himself came out with his mysterious, non-answer-answer. According to Page Six:
There’s trouble in Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen paradise, multiple sources tell Page Six exclusively.
The model has left their family compound in Tampa, Fla., for Costa Rica. This followed a series of heated arguments over Brady’s shock decision to un-retire from the NFL.
Tom has has remained behind for team training.
“Tom and Gisele are in a fight right now,” a source tells Page Six, adding that this has happened before with the couple, but they have always reunited in the past.

The news comes after the Buccaneers quarterback, 45, missed 11 days of training in August. When quizzed about his disappearance, the sports star said: “It’s all personal … everyone’s got different situations they’re dealing with. We all have really unique challenges to our life. I’m 45 years old, man. There’s a lot of s–t going on.”
Reps for both Brady and Bündchen, 42 — who share children Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 9, plus Jack, the athlete’s 15-year-old son with ex Bridget Moynahan — declined to comment.
