Game Over? The Brady/Bundchen Split Explained

Looks like Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen are GAME OVER. The Brady/Bunchen union split is gaining steam. Both have retained divorce lawyers, according to Page Six.

We all know the couple have been living separately for the past couple months following an epic fight.

If you remember, Tom Brady missed 11 days of football practice. When asked about his absence, he shot back: "I'm 45 years old and there's a lot of sh** going on."

Fumble!

The "epic fight" was allegedly about Tom's decision to retire February 1.

And then un-retire March 13.

Talk about marital whiplash!

Anyway, Gisele was NOT having it and flew off to Costa Rica with the kids, then took up residence in Miami, far from the couples digs in Tampa Bay.

She also has been MIA at games AND was seen sans ring.

Which brings me to this clever tweet:

Listen, Gisele has not been shy about Tom's career. How could she know when she married him back in 2009 that his career would last this long? She's talked about the dangers of the sport, putting her career on hold for his and his missing a lot of important life events.

Tom admitted that the trade off is tough to bear.

"I'm feeling more than things in the past for some reason," Brady told host Jim Gray on his weekly "Let's Go!" podcast. "You know, I'm just really feeling intensely my emotions. And I feel like I always have that, but I think when you get close to the end...

"I don't know exactly where I'm at with that and there's no decision to be made. It's not like I have 10 years left. I definitely don't have that. So all these, I just am never gonna take for granted, you know?

No Christmases, Thanksgivings, Weddings?

"I haven't had a Christmas in 23 years and I haven't had a Thanksgiving in 23 years," Brady said. "I haven't celebrated birthdays with people that I care about that are, you know, born from August to late January. And you know, I'm not able to be at funerals and I'm not able to be at weddings.

"I think there comes a point in your life where you say, 'You know what? I had my fill and it's enough and time to go on, to move into other parts of life.' I push myself to the max and I got everything I could out of my ability."

It's not looking good.

Meanwhile, Gisele was seen crying walking along Hudson River Park near the Tribeca apartment she shares with Brady and their two children.

Let's hope this golden couple can work out the kinks and make it work!

Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady Through The Years

Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady have been married since 2009 and share two children together: Vivian Lake Brady and Benjamin Rein. After meeting through friends in 2006, Brady and Bündchen started seeing each other that December.

“I knew right way — the first time I saw him,” she recalled to Vanity Fair in 2009 about Brady. “We met through a friend. The moment I saw him, he smiled and I was like, ‘That is the most beautiful, charismatic smile I’ve ever seen!’ We sat and talked for three hours. I had to go home for Christmas, but I didn’t want to leave. You know that feeling of, like, you can’t get enough? From the first day we met, we’ve never spent one day without speaking to each other.”

For the picture-perfect couple, it wasn't always rainbows and butterflies. They had their fair share of trouble, starting with Brady's ex, Bridget Moynahan being pregnant with his child in February 2007.

The couple got engaged in January of 2009 and wed one month later in Santa Monica, California. They then threw another wedding two months later in Costa Rica. Nine months later, the couple welcomed their first child together, Benjamin. Three years later daughter Vivian was born.

Over a decade later and the couple is still in love and stronger than ever. See Brady and Bündchen's relationship grow through the years below:
