This Toilet Seat Hack is Gross

Please do not do this ever.

Is this toilet seat cleaning hack gross or genius? We're going for gross. Like absolutely NASTY.

If you haven't seen the TikTok video yet, it basically instructs people to take their toilet seats and throw them in the...dishwasher.

Have any of these people heard of separation of church and state?

There's no way this is sanitary. If you want to wash your toilet seats in the dishwasher, then you have to have a dedicated dishwasher...in the BATHROOM.

We're talking cross-pollination, people. There are particles - and you know the kind I'm talking about - that no amount of bleach could possible take care of to make this sanitary.

Just because TikTok Taught It, doesn't mean you have to listen to it. Never mind put it into practice.

Videos like this are the reason I don't buy homemade items at the local bake sale.

Another thing I learned today?

Bob Bronson uses the toilet wand scrubby thing to CLEAN THE TOILET SEAT. He said that's how the Navy taught him in boot camp. And I told him things taught in boot camp are to a.) break your spirit and b.) stay in boot camp. Civilians aren't supposed to be subjected to that sort of, well, grossness.

For the record, his wife, Carolyn, was horrified when she discovered this nasty practice.

Meanwhile, can we share some actual hygenic ways to clean the loo? (Sorry, this looks like a crime scene.)
