I was born and raised here. Add to that, I have been on the radio in Boston most of my life. So, when New Kids On The Block come to Boston, you must attend, by law. Last Friday night, Boston was 16 again. Below, these New Kids pictures tell the story.

News Kid Time Machine Takes You back

I mean it. The show really takes you back to a time before social media and the internet. The 1980’s and 90’s big screen images of those fun vintage New Kids photos, made you forget you are an adult. I must say, the show was a time machine back to a time before Covid, inflation and Ukraine.

Mix Tape Tour

The show is actually called, The Mixtape Tour. If New Kids are not enough, I’ll throw in En Vogue, Salt N Pepper and Rick Astley.

Rick hasn’t changed one bit. Although it’s thirty five years later, somehow, the years by-passed his looks. He looks the same. He’s still boyish, and a little nerdy, but with a BOOMING VOICE. He sounds a great as ever, belting out hits, Together Forever, and Strong Man. New Kids were generous to bring Rick back on TWO more times, to sing his biggest hit, Never Gonna Give You Up. In fact that was LAST SONG of the night! The audience loved it!

En Vogue, stunned the audience with their amazing, familiar harmonies. Salt N Pepper, along with three amazing dancers kept everyone on their feet. In fact, we NEVER sat, or left our seats! Author’s Note: I know half the words of SHOOP, and all the words of Let’s Talk About Sex.

So if you couldn’t make it Friday night, hopefully these New Kids pictures tell the story!
