Baker Launches Digital Tool to Access COVID-19 Vaccine Card
Gov. Baker announced Monday a new tool for Massachusetts residents to access their COVD-19 digital vaccine card, as well as their vaccination status and history.
The new tool, called My Vax Records, allows any resident who has received their vaccination within the state to access their vaccination history and generate a COVID-19 digital vaccine card, which will contain similar vaccination information to a paper CDC card. It is produced by the SMART Health Card platform that will generate a QR card that can be used to verify vaccination statuses.
When accessing the tool, residents will have to enter their name, date of birth, and mobile phone number or email associated with their vaccine record. Then, they will create a four-digit pin numbers that will then generate a link to their vaccination records and QR code. Users will be able to save the QR code to their phone’s wallet, screenshot it, or print it out.
Baker stated that Massachusetts is not requiring residents to show proof of vaccination to enter any venue, but this tool will help residents who would like to access and produce a digital copy of their vaccine record.
