It was this week in 1981 we saw music change forever with the birth of MTV. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of MTV, Rolling Stone is out with a NEW list of the greatest videos of all time.
Some our favorite 80's stars made it into the top 10! Madonna's Vogue is number three. Michael Jackson's Billie Jean was SO big in 1983, MTV had to change their policy, and play black artists. Billie Jean came in at number ten on the Rolling Stone list.
What came in at NUMBER ONE? Formation, by Beyonce, also born, like MTV, in 1981.
