She says it’s in her contract,,,

But is it? Disney say’s NO.

Scarlett Johansson, star of Disney’s Black Widow Marvel movie is suing Disney alleging they breached her contract when they released Black Widow in theaters AND streamed it on Disney + at the SAME time, which she argues, can lower the box office draw, which part of her salary is tied to, so she claims. The suit claims that the streaming of the movie should have come later, giving fans only one place to see it, first, costing her millions of dollars.

Disney shot back saying they honored her contract to the letter, and has already paid her a flat $20 million. The movie grossed $80,000,000 which is low for a Marvel movie. If Scarlett is telling the truth, and is supposed to get let’s say 5% of the gross box office, 5% of $80 million is $4,000,000. If Scarlett got a cut of let’s say Ironman, she would have gotten an extra $47,700,200. So you can see why she’s suing.

If she’s not telling the truth, Disney may tell her to go pound sand, or settle for an extra $5,000,000, my guess.

I wish I was an attorney.
