She may have been the most popular 80’s rock video star, that didn’t sing.

It was sad news over the weekend hearing the untimely passing of 80’s video star Tawny Kitean at 59. While she didn’t have a massive or acclaimed acting resume, what little she did made a MASSIVE impact.

Everyone remembers her in the Whitesnake videos, her role opposite Tom Hanks in Bachelor Party, and her 1990s role in the Hercules television series. Add to that, her short marriage to Whitesnake front man David Coverdale sealed the deal in making her the perfect 80’s video vixen.

After the 90s, Tawny found it harder and harder to find work, resorting to what many retro decade names do to pull income in: Comic Con.

This picture below was from 2017, with my wife Heidi, her sister Priscilla, and Tawney at a New England event.  Heidi said Tawny was so nice, given them way beyond the allotted time to talk and take pictures.  Tawny even took extra time to talk to Heidi’s Mom on the phone, who is a HUGE fan of Bachelor Party.
